Playing with an analog controller is feasible, but the occasional botched command might lead to added infuriation.Īnd inevitably, exasperation will occur. As such, make sure you have a controller with a responsive directional pad. Since Cyber Shadow retains the two-button control scheme of its inspirations, some of these proficiencies require a simultaneous button press and diagonal input. Like any respectable shinobi, you’ll wall leap, toss shuriken, as well as dash slice through unsuspecting foes. Spikes are especially dangerous, as the end to be visual camouflaged in the game’s pixelated cityscapes.Ī pleasing sense of enemy variety is complemented by a growing set of new abilities. While most enemies will merely erode your life bar, gaps in platforms, pools of lava, and spikes will instantly forfeit one of your lives. But environments are no ally and are often even more dangerous than opponents. Collide with a foe, and Shadow will be kicked backward, occasionally put onto the path of another adversary. Protagonist Shadow has to lure the latter to certain heights before we can slice them right out of existence.Īdversity is ubiquitous and intensified by Cyber Shadow’s incorporation of knock-back. While some adversaries idly move back and forth, ready to serve as fodder for your blade, others approach at troublesome angles. You’ll begin the game with little more than the ability to jump and slash horizontally. Instead, you’ll master a mounting arsenal across the game’s zones. ![]() Much like its inspirations, you won’t be led through the kind of dedicated tutorial found in most modern games. From the erratic enemy trajectories of Castlevania to the taut level designs of Super Mario Bros., identifying the inspirations is nearly as enjoyable as cleaving through the game’s robotics foes. While the most obvious point of reference is 1988’s Ninja Gaiden, it’s clear that Hunziker has thoroughly studied the classics. Helmed by a single developer, Aarne “MekaSkull” Hunziker, the recent release dares players to make it through a succession of increasingly hectic stages. Price: $19.99 via PlayStation Store, eShop, Steam, and the Microsoft StoreĪre today’s games any more enjoyable than the ones of yesteryear? That’s a tough question, but it’s not nearly as formidable as the eight-hour trek through Mechanical Head Studios’ Cyber Shadow. There's no release date for Cyber Shadow just yet, but Yacht Club says it'll cost £11.39/$14.99 USD when it launches on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Switch.Platform: PlayStation 4/5, Switch, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, Additionally, we're also deeply involved in giving design feedback, imparting our lessons from developing the Shovel Knight saga so Aarne can create the best version of his game possible." "In this way, the game became a bit of a co-development," the studio wrote, "YCG is handling the marketing, porting, business side, and typical roles of a publisher so Aarne can focus on the core game development. However, the studio has been assisting Hunziker for the last 12 months, helping polish up the experience and deliver what it calls the "next quintessential Ninja Action game". You can get a taste of all that (as well as a cracking ditty from Enrique Martin's soundtrack) in the trailer below.Īccording to Yacht Club, who will acting as publishing for Cyber Shadow, Hunziker has been working on the game as a solo project for almost a decade. ![]() It promises "authentic 8-bit presentation", "sharply honed ninja platforming action", unlockable Ninjutsu skills and abilities, over a dozen bosses, and more. Shovel Knight studio Yacht Club Games has formally unveiled Cyber Shadow, a Ninja-Gaiden-inspired 8-bit-style platformer from developer Aarne "MekaSkull" Hunziker.Ĭyber Shadow sets players loose among the ruins of an enemy-infested, trap-laden Mekacity, and is described as an NES-style platformer with "the level design principles of Mario, the skills and action of Ninja Gaiden, the enemy designs of Contra, and the dark visual aesthetic of Batman." ![]() This puts out more DPS than an incendiary MOARR Linoge pistol and is accurate as heck. This build relies heavily on the green and red skill trees while also using a little bit of the blue and purple skill trees. Hit them in the face with that 17/s fire rate and you'll still get slows and freezes on them as you grind them down with fire. Note: The Searing Hellfire makes for a GREAT utility swap for when you're fighting purple annointed that are immune to cryo. ![]() And FWIW, for normal mobbing the Cryo Shrediifer melts through armor just fine, even with the skill element set to Incendiary. This doesn't hurt the rate at which you freeze enemies at all! If you're going to go up against a wave of armored enemies (like the last round of Slaughterstar 3000), just swap over to Corrosive for your skill element. I would probably take some points into Lifesteal to fill the gap when you may not be immortal. ![]() The skill element by default is Incendiary, for bonus 18% Incendiary damage and converting 40% of the Shredifier's cryo to Incendiary. This is the elementalist tree which is always good for Amara. Then whip out the Shredifier and melt everything. The skill build itself is based on Moxsy's best elemental grasp build, which means this is a linked grasper, and it works GREAT with the Terror-Shredifier synergy! However, since reloading is not an issue with the Terror-Shredifier synergy, I moved 1 point from Alacrity (blue tree) into Root to Rise (green tree) instead for even more max Health.īefore a new encounter starts, fire Grasp at the ground to instantly proc Terror on yourself. And yes, this Shredifier has a 159-ammo clip in this build! Even better, this is a "shotgun" Shredifier, so you can keep it in rifle mode and are far more mobile than in Moxsy's demoed build with the tripod stabilizers. Definitely the bread and butter of the character, it works on the Brawl skill tree with. It's a cryo Shredifier with "While Terrified, deal 50% bonus cryo damage", so paired up with Amara's elemental build traits and gear, this Shredifier puts out more overall damage than in Moxsy's demoed build. More experienced players usually build high melee damage Amara. This build uses Amaras Phasegrasp action skill in combination with the skill Vigor to amp Amaras movement speed. If you watch Moxsy videos, you've see what this synergy can do, but my Shredifier is better overall. This build has been updated to be one of the best Borderlands 3 builds out there. This is a TVHM Mayhem 3 mobbing build based around Terror mechanics' amazing synergy with the Shredifier AR. ![]() While using the board, Webber put two shirts over his head and randomly moved his hand around the board to try to spell out a word. Webber’s brother sat in on the video and convinced him to wear gloves while touching the Ouija board, to keep his hands off of a biohazard. The spirit can’t move the planchet itself but can through the user. If you actually move the planchet, it’s 50% your subconscious and 50% the spirit. Webber went to a witch shop one day and was told that you’re not supposed to put your hands on the planchet, instead a ghost will magically move it for you. Unidentifiable skeletal remains, stolen blood bags, and jars of human ashes were found in his home during a police search. Due to the lack of evidence, he only got charged with one murder and six grave robberies. In his own words, Webber’s “A skeptic, but not a closed book.” Which is why he decided to pay Nico Claux, known as the vampire of Paris, to make him a blood-stained Ouija board.Ĭlaux is a French serial killer who would eat strips of muscle from bodies in mortuaries and dug up fresh graves to drink blood mixed with human ashes and protein powder. Webber took spooky season to a new level with his new video titled, “This Ouija Board Was Made By A Serial Killer.” He bought and used a Ouija board that was made by a cannibal serial killer, that is also a vampire. Webber’s started making spooky videos where he’s eaten death row inmates last meals and unboxed serial killers’ personal items. He has an extreme fascination with all things morbid, which he’s started to show on his channel. Webber has driven a toy car around L.A., eaten a military breakfast from the 1940’s and bought an inflatable house. that makes bizarre, out-of-the-box YouTube videos.
